Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 May 2026
BitzStacks ("we") publishes Benta, an offline-first point-of-sale and inventory app for small shops in the Philippines. This policy explains what data the app handles.
Data stored on your device only
- Store details, products, sales, customers, credit balances, staff PINs.
- Encrypted with SQLCipher; the key is held in Android Keystore on your device.
- Never transmitted off-device. Benta v1.0 does not send any of your data anywhere.
License keys
Paid plans (Starter, Pro) use a license key you receive by email after purchase. Activation is fully offline — the app verifies the key cryptographically against a Store ID generated locally on your device. No data is sent to us during activation.
Permissions and why we need them
- Camera — barcode scanning at point of sale (Pro plan only). Images are not stored.
- Bluetooth — connecting to a thermal receipt printer (Pro plan only).
Data we do NOT collect
- No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising IDs, no tracking.
- No personal information of you or your customers, location, contacts, photos, or device files.
- We do not see your sales, products, customers, or PINs — they never leave your device.
Account deletion
Benta v1.0 does not create any account on our servers — there is nothing to delete on our side. Uninstalling the app removes all local data on your device. If you would like written confirmation that no server-side data exists for you, email [email protected].
Children
Benta is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Benta handles data, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes — for example, adding any feature that sends data off your device — will be communicated in-app before they take effect.
